Build a stiff, collaborative network of relationships amid peers, advisors, and instructors.
Engage in loftier-touch learning activities through smaller class sizes.
FPF instructors lead their own discussion sections.
Proactive and personalized advising during summer and autumn. Remote summer advising to plan your fall schedule.
Have classes from within FPF's core curriculum and thematic threads while exploring majors and satisfying degree requirements.

Eligibility

To be eligible for FPF, you must:

Be a newly admitted student in the College of Letters & Science (excludes transfers or returning students). FPF students are regularly enrolled students in the College of Letters & Science.

Other considerations when choosing FPF:

FPF is not canonical for VA educational benefits, including Mail-9/11 GI Beak (Affiliate 33) and Dependents Educational Assistance (Chapter 35). If you program to utilize veterans educational benefits, FPF may not be for y'all.
If yous take a California Community College IGETC, FPF may not exist for you as we have a limited curriculum and may not offer the classes you demand.
FPF students must take at to the lowest degree iii core classes within the FPF form offerings of iii or more than units.
Most FPF cadre classes are held in the Gilded Bear Center (GBC) at 1995 University Ave, three blocks west of Berkeley's master campus. Neighboring programs in and effectually GBC include: Summer Sessions, Study Abroad, E Asian Studies, Berkeley International Office (BIO), and the Schoolhouse of Public Wellness.

After you opt-in to FPF in your MAP@Berkeley portal by May:

Summer 2022

Ready for UC Berkeley with the Gilt Acquit Advising Online Orientation, remote FPF Summer Advising, and Fall class enrollment.

Fall 2022

Every bit part of FPF, you live in residence halls, take FPF curated courses, and build community with others in the program.

Spring 2023

After the autumn semester in FPF, you keep your journeying at UC Berkeley.
